About Impactology

In February 2008 Stefaan Decostere presented the installation arena WARUM 2.0 during the Artefact Festival in Stuk, Leuven (Belgium).

At the time of the construction in situ and the opening week he started
the Warum 2.0 blog.

On that first blog: intentions, comments, views and videoclips with excerpts out of the interview he did with Paul Virilio and with footage of war victims by cameraman Daniel Demoustier.

With Warum 2.0 he also introduced ‘impactology’, a science on the technics of impact. At the Amsterdam Vortex Symposium he put forward this new field of knowledge and proposed to start defining impact, to analyse and chart it, and to study the political consequences.
